Dauber Posted January 12, 2015 Share Posted January 12, 2015 Some last-minute strategies I can offer: The Sea Hag appears when you reach roughly the middle of the screen. So when you cross the middle, be ready to punch some bottles. When Brutus throws bottles, at least in the early levels, he throws four. Level 1 -- stay at the top. Move over to the right side (through the "thru" warp) and stay roughly to the far right of the screen. Brutus will go downstairs to the middle level. After he gets to that level and makes two steps, head over to the punching bag and jump off, hitting the punching bag on the way down. This will knock the bucket down onto his head. Now, DON'T STOP MOVING: head straight over to the left, and grab the spinach as soon as either you get there or as it appears, whichever comes first. Head over to the right and go down the ladder, punching Brutus out. Immediately head to the left, go upstairs all the way back to Popeye's starting point. There's a heart stuck barely on that ledge. Grab it for 1,000 points but without jumping off the ledge. Then immediately head left to the other ledge via warp and jump down. You'll grab a heart in mid-air for 1,000 points. (Hit the punching bag on your way down for an extra 30 points.) This also works, but not as reliably, on level 4. Level 3 -- Punch that bird as often as you can. That's a quick way to rack up some points (1,000 each time). You don't need spinach for that. When the level starts, stay at the top as long as you can, going back and forth across that little transfer thingy as much as you can.
