At first I thought this was a modified controller, didn't realise it was actually a 3rd party pad replacement.

While it's clearly not that useful not having a number pad, as a collector curio it's got a ton of appeal I think. And seeing Dendy, Super Famcom, Family Game, Pegasus etc on there, pulls hard at a famiclone kid like me :D It's just a shame I don't collect and have to look to downsize rather than add to what I have or I'd be all over these. Nice find!

Curious, other than # pad, what makes it worse? Does it function like a Sega Pad? That would actually seem better, if so. Thoughts?

Scott

If it were manufactured by Sega then sure, I'd agree. From owning dozens and dozens of clone systems and having an eye for these things, I'm inclined to trust Piter's assessment of the pads :D But damn, I'd really like to own one, 3rd party Jaguar stuff is effectively non existent (unless you start looking towards workshop hack jobs or worse).

I've seen one of these Boomerang Jaguar controllers on eBay once or twice before, but no one seemed to know anything about them. I'm guessing they were never sold outside of Poland.

Edit: I knew I had seen these discussed before, so I went searching and found this thread from 2008:

wow, please stahp, this stuff is eating away at my dormant inner collector geekiness :)

Looks great in black and the packaging looks much tidier than the previous photo. Simply experiencing playing a game with the dome d-pad would be worth the price of entry!
