Keatah
They're ranging from the 2716 through 27C1001 series, perhaps higher. That's 2K bytes - 128K bytes. Looks like there's some 256 and 512 ones in there too. I suspect many are from scientific test equipment and PC BIOSes and card firmware. Its funny that some are actually still soldered to a bit of PCB. They were just "sawed around".

Keatah
I may use them for longevity and durability testing, erase testing, decap experiments. And even combinatorial logic projects. I may also re-program some as ready-made spares for BIOSes for my vintage PCs and network card boot roms. Lots of hobby stuff.

When you mentioned such a wide range of chips I was curious what the rest could be used for with so many being smaller and larger than most BIOS normally found on vintage PC motherboards. TheCoolDave
Have you tried this with an up converter? Wondering how good the pic would really be. Up Scaler.JPG I speak from experience here. I used to run all my systems over analog (my old TV only supported Component HD), over 10 feet, this would cause ghosting, audio hum and other issues. Then for giggles, I tried a device like this, converted to HDMI and ran directly to a HDMI port. Ghosting and hum was gone right away. Clearer picture. It was night and day but, most of these systems were modern consoles that were 480p or higher. My advice on analog sources, the quickest and shortest cable till it gets converted to digital is the best possible to avoid noise to analog lines. Just keep in mind on these converters, Most of these devices treat 240i/240p (early systems) as 480p and they will look like complete crap. You need something that will handle 240i/240p and upscale it to 480p for a good picture with these... This was why the Framemeister and OSSC are so popular, as they can do this with almost no lag and great results.. Keatah
It's great to see these old first PCs being so highly desired nowadays. There were times in the past I couldn't stand to look at them, compared to other contemporary computers and 8-bit rigs. And the ads were so boring - now they're absolutely thrilling! --- What did I buy today? A bag of about 2500 pc screws and fittings and the stuff that holds it all together. Zafinn Books
Not a big catch in the grand scheme of things, but I added another Atari badge to my little collection. It is the square multi-coloured Atari badge in the top display (I'm easily pleased!). I have a few doubles, if anybody wants to do some swapsies! I'm looking for any official Atari badges, would love to score any COSMOS badge, Atari Service and the "The Future Is Here" badge.

Skippy B. Coyote
NEVER when I have money.... That's usually how it goes for me too, like the last three times eBay gave out 20% off coupons I was flat broke. This time I just got uncharacteristically lucky. I was planning on ordering the EverDrive GBA X5 directly from Krikzz, but his online store has been down for the last week so I checked the list of authorized EverDrive distributors in the US and stumbled on Stone Age Gamer, who just happened to be having a sale.

cybercylon
Stone Age Gamer has been my Krikzz cart retailer of choice for a few years now. BUT I just found out that my roof is 3/4 black mold 1/4 roof so I'm out for a long time. I don't know if it is good thing or a bad thing that I can call them to see if something is in stock and drive there (about 50 min from my place). But I hear ya..... something major always needs to be done....

DragonGrafx-16
Picked up some great additions to my Genesis library this past week! How's Mega Bomberman? I know it's good but what's like compared to the PC Engine/TG-16 and SNES/SFC versions?
