AkoShirabe
seems legit .. just send cash right? These are for trade, not for sale, but if you have any of the items listed at the bottom you can mail them in to trade with the items I have for trade and then I will mail in the item you want. Bodyshots
I would suggest as a new user to trade with someone on here who has been around for a while and can be trusted. I would suggest that you send the item first to build some trust if you prefer trades, not the way you suggest. You mentioned you have no paypal account , so I naturally assume you accept money. If paypal doesn't recognize your address then you just call them by voice and they will set something up and verify your address and banking information.

Haha, so you want US to mail you the item first, then when YOU get it you will mail the item we want? At the very least both parties mail at the same time, but as mentioned...YOU should be mailing first

Gredler
What are you offering and what are you asking for? I believe the post was intended as sarcasm. I wish there was more acceptance to new members of the community, because this honestly sounds like a case of naivety, and you simply don't know the value of the items your asking for and offering. I hope no one else piles on, good luck finding the items you're looking for.

AkoShirabe
Ok people, stop teasing me just because the items I asked for are worth more than the items I am offering. I didn't know the value of the items until after Gredler told me to use eBay. In one week, if none of the items I am offering are gone and traded, I will replace this with a sale post.

He is a brand new member with zero feedback asking for trades in which well established members have to send their items FIRST then he will send his, lol. You don't see a problem with that? In his defense he did say he will ship first now, so I don't see a problem anymore. That was said after my post though, initially that was not his terms. I have traded/purchased numerous items here in the marketplace from brand new members but I always had them ship first, thats fair all things considered Video games are popular now, scammers go where the money is As far as wishing there was more acceptance to new members in the marketplace of this community I'm guessing you are not a member of ANY other video game forum because Atariage is by far the most accepting. Try doing this over on the Neo Geo forums, lol. Any other forum is far more harsh, we are pretty good as far as trusting goes

This. Recently (last year) asked a relative newbie to do something similar with a Jaguar game and was all offended at the proposal. Some (lots of!) people are just plain unreasonable. Needless to say, the deal did not go through.

Reading the edit: negativity towards newcomers on other forums of other sites turned me away from posting there and trying to get involved in their communities. As a still new member (almost a year, but I'd still consider myself a nub) I can say that I would always offer to pay/send first to members with much longer track records. Spam and scam posts would detract me from coming here, so I can understand the backlash to a certain degree. I am in no way defending this person, but I can relate to being new and naive to online forum trading, and wanted to help the person see that what they were offering is unreasonable. I can see how it sounds like sarcasm: -Who the hell would sell a system that is broken into 20 pieces? -Magic Knight Rayearth is one of the most expensive Saturn games. -PS4 and Wii U are newer than the items he is offering. -Selling 10 copies of the same game, none of whom work, is pointless. I am in no way defending this person, but I can relate to being new and naive to online forum trading, and wanted to help the person see that what they were offering is unreasonable. The reality is, at Atari Age, most of the members have been here a very long time…in some cases, for over a decade. Anyone who has hung around for more than a few months, or has read the "Bad Trader Alert" thread, knows that scammers come and go here…leaving a path of destruction in their wake (along with a ton of Shatner pictures). I think that you might be mistaking "negativity" for folks who are exercising an abundance of caution…not only for themselves, but the community in general. On many occasions, a new member has arrived, offering a decent deal on something I wanted. On a one of those occasions, I leapt before I looked and got burned. Since then, I have been more than happy to "call people out" when they fit the same M.O. I figure, it is better to speak up than to let one of my fellow community members fall prey to a fly-by-night scam artist. I am not saying this is a scam, but if it walks like a duck…. Bottom line: 1.) new member (23 posts…almost all of which were spent trying to trade this item) 2.) no feedback 3.) no PayPal 4.) no pictures of the items he/she is looking to trade 5.) HUGE list of wants, in exchange for something broken 6.) nothing listed in their profile telling us where they live (for all I know, they are located in the UAE) 7.) asking for the other person to ship first 8.) etc…the list goes on and on Even if this isn't a scam, it is certainly not a way to introduce yourself to a community, and IMHO, it warrants all sorts of warning bells, sirens and red flags. If anyone is still interested in trading with this person, and they are totally comfortable with the "terms" set forth, then whatever happens is theirs to own…I just hope they don't say that they were not warned…we are good at protecting our own around these parts.
Rhomaios
Gotta agree with Benny on this one. It's fine to make mistakes, but if more people would just slow down and think about what they're doing before posting, there'd be a lot less mistaken people feeling hostility. I don't think the OP is a scammer, but it's a very suspicious and lopsided post. That should be recognized and rectified (as it apparently kind of has) at the very least.
AkoShirabe
Ignoring thread, will sell the items I am offering for money instead on a new thread since I realized the items I am offering have lower values than the large list of items listed that I am asking for (most of whom were Japanese-exclusive games, which are more expensive).
