Banquo
I got my first TAC-2 joystick yesterday, but I'm having problems with it. At first the buttons wouldn't work at all but cleaning the brass plates fixed that problem, but the bigger issue is with the joystick. It doesn't seem to be centered properly, it is almost fully in the down position. I can barely touch it and move it all the way down. It's also very easy to move left, again just barely touching it. Moving right and up both seem ok. I'm guessing there is a problem with the rubber boot, perhaps it needs replacing? Any ideas? I haven't taken the joystick section apart yet, I'm actually not sure how it comes out and I don't want to break anything. Banquo
Well I searched around and learned how to take it apart, and it turns out the problem was with this piece: The upper part just below the threads was really bent, I guess one of the previous owners was a gorilla. I was able to straighten it and it seems to be working fine now.
