Omega-TI
Is it possible you've overlooked the same thing that many of us have done... by not pressing the middle button to SELECT the image? If it looks like this ... You need to press the little button in the middle. Once you see the numbers, it should work... ... provided you've also put the configuration file on the SD card already.
jens-eike
Remove the small sticker from the write protect notch Seriuosly, check your firmware - old versions were read only for TI formats... http://hxc2001.com/download/floppy_drive_emulator/index.html According to http://hxc2001.com/download/floppy_drive_emulator/sd_hxc_floppy_emulator_firmware_release_notes.txt firmwares above 1.8.2.24 have fewer problems with floppy writes. Fritz442
Did you add the config file to the SD card after you formatted it.? and it MUST be formatted to FAT32. Also the config file must be the first file added to the SD card. ("missing link.hfe", is a disk file he has added to his SD card, you will not find it on yours) Edited February 28, 2015 by Fritz442
Omega-TI
Like Fritz442 said, you have to put the HXCSDFE.CFG file on the DS card. To make the file, load up the HxCFloppyEmulator program (as shown on the left hand side of the photo), click "SD HxC Floppy Emulator settings", choose your setting then click "Save config file". It's probably easier to just save it to your desktop. Once you've loaded the EMPTY and formatted SD card, drag the new HXCSDFE.CFG file to the SD card. Once that is there, you can move over your DSK images that have be converted to HFE format. Or you can just use the configuration file included in the zip file below.... CONFIG.zip
Iwantgames:)
Once you put the config file on the sd card, put the hfe files on the sd card in the order you want them listed, as the device lists the files in the order you put them on the card. +Schmitzi
Hi, try to UNCHECK the "auto"-option, then choose "Generic Shugart" again then save the configfile and copy it to the root of the SD again Which DSK did you config (cant see in the pic) Is there any other drive with it, inside the PEB ? So you could, for a first testing, only connect the HxC as DSK1. But I think the first problem is the CHECKED auto-option. /edit/ Sorry, I just saw that config-file from Omega right now, this should run for you if you copy this (unzipped) "HXCSDFE.cfg"-file to the root of the SD-Card. In addition, your SD-Card MUST be formatted at FAT32 SD-Card: maximum of 2 GB SDHC-Card: max. 32 GB /edit/ Edited February 28, 2015 by schmitzi

+Schmitzi
Hi, I was not able to find out the meaning of this numbers, not in the manuals, nor in the HxC-Forum. Maybe T: for Track ? Can you access the DSKx you have jumpered ? Maybe with the Diskmanager 2 ? File "Disk_Image" sounds a bit strange, or did you convert that with the HxC-FloppyEMU-Tool from your .DSK to .HFE, and just named it that way ? But this here looks quite better, hope there is some data on this virtual disk, can check that with cataloging via DishManager2 Or just add another .HFE to the SD-Card, does not matter which one, just to check if you can access and see the contents. +Schmitzi
Here I have uploaded some HFE-Files for testing, (by random because I am not at the office but they should work) should work to have a look inside, should see the files: ftp://u67140205-atariage:TeXasTI994A@toxic-instruments.com
+Schmitzi
Hi, here are my jumper-settings for DSK1 (this is my choice at the moment) Also very important NOT to connect the yellow cable (12 Volts) !!
+Schmitzi
Here are my settings from the HxC-FloppyEmulator-Tool Version 2.0.26.0 at the moment, SAVE this it to a file called HXCSDFE.CFG, and copy that file into the root of your FRESHLY (!) FAT(!)-formatted SD-Card After (!) that, copy your first .HFE-files to the SD-Card. Then "windows-eject" your SD-card (don´t just pull it out of the card-reader) Then just plug it into your HxC-EMU-Drive in the TI. Please don´t forget to press "Enter" (the middle button) to finish your choice of your desired .HFE-File (This "T:000bla" should appear in the 2. row) Good luck, you are very close to paradise now Ralf
Fritz442
Ok i am near now T:033 where do i find this settings ? I have T:000/080 S:0 That "080" means you have a 80 track disk loaded in there. You MUST have a 80 track disk controller or you will not be able to access it correctly. The "000" is basically the track currently being accessed.(Read or Written to) If you have a standard TI disk controller, make sure all your converted disks are 40 track only. +Ksarul
Quite logical if he is using a config file from Omega--his system has the 80-track disk controller mod. . .
