Do you have a pick of this with the pony tail? er, keyboard connected to it? I'd love to see that. I used to have one of these Rave99 keyboard adapters, I loved it. I learned to touch type on it.

Wouldn't the cartridge ram into the keytops every time you removed it?

No space is accurate, if you pay attention the cartridge does not hit the keys. However the keys are fake, so the real problem doesn't exist

Although there are some impressive mods here (the Atari XL laptop is schweet - I want one!), my own personal hero when it comes to modding has to be Fabrice Montupet. He has shared photos of some amazing FrankensTInes, that have made my jaw drop. I've posted this one in several similar threads, but it never gets old!

 

And this one's not a fake!!

 

 

Now tell me that is not a thing of beauty! The function keys alone make me drool! The innards are equally impressive - all fitting into a standard console.

 

Nothing short of awe-inspiring!

Absolutely agreed I always told to Fabrice that this TI-99 is the most beautiful one i ever seen so professional. He always named it TIxx

He is so insanely skilled, that as I said, he's my modding hero (although his talent fills me with envy).
