rhcocker
I live in the US and I recently bought a G7400 VideoPac from Europe. Can anyone comment on whether it would be possible to swap an internal power transformer in an odyssey 2 with the transformer in the G7400 to get the correct voltage to the system? It seems like a reasonable alternative to buying a step down converter, but I don't have the technical background to know for sure. Suggestions or comments? alex_79
The g7400 needs 2 voltages (5v and 12v) to operate, while the g7000/odyssey 2 only needs 5v, so the power supplies aren't interchangeable. Anyway, the g7400 power supply apparently works fine with 110V mains (you have to change the plug or use an adpater to connect to an US socket): http://videopac.nl/forum/index.php?topic=2362.

I searched for USA sellers, plenty of them under $12. If you include HK/Chinese/Taiwan sellers they can be bought for under $5 but with very long and often unreliable shipping. This is definitely worth looking into as well.
