Boulder Dash(R) For Intellivision - Released March 18, 2015

Recommended Posts

Despite the package illustrations to the contrary, I always had the impression that Rockford (at least in his original 8-bit incarnation) was an ant: he's a natural at digging tunnels, he can move objects many times his own weight, he's about the same size as other insects, and his large eyes and head give him a certain insect-like appearance. Looking at him now, I still think he resembles an ant more than anything else.

(He certainly looks more like an ant than Jiminy Cricket looked like a real cricket, anyway.)

At the very least Rockford™ looks the same on Intellivision as he does on other platforms, however unusual he looks.

On the Epoch/Yeno Super Cassette Vision version, Rockford looks very different (more Japanese?) than on all the US/European formats.

Actually the ColecoVision version also has a slightly different graphic, which kind of appears in the ZX Spectrum version too. The MSX graphic is somewhere inbetween the Atari 8-bit and Colecovision.

The NES version looks like a completely different game, yet it was licensed by First Star.

Just wanted to send a congrats towards the creators. Super nice!

Thanks! We really worked hard to make a great version of the game.

People who have not picked up a copy should do so soon however. Fewer than 100 copies currently remain and it is not looking at this time as if we will be renegotiating for more.

But each person already has 4 copies of it :rolling:
