thegamezmaster
Is there a guide anywhere to mod an NES Advantage Joystick to work on a Colecovision or Atari 7800? Haven't been able to find one. Thanks.

7800fan
I think you may have to open up and check the traces from the control switch and button pads to the shift register IC and figure out which traces are for which function. Ignore the rapid fire option until you get the main part working. Slo mo probably won't work as most older game system didn't have convenient pause feature on the controller. I would look at mine but it's been missing. I had 3 CIB Advantage controllers and 2 loose along with few NES games and a couple NES decks that went missing a few years ago. Either I put them somewhere I still haven't figured where yet or they were stolen.

Sorry to hear about your advantages.
bradd1978
The advantage will probably be similar to an NES pad in someways. You'll have to desolder the IC inside and any other components, then like 7800fan said, check the traces and continuity to decifer how everything works. I've never modded one but I've modded Sega 6 button arcade sticks to work in the same manner Good luck

bradd1978
http://youtu.be/FQbokBHvQXA There is diagrams near the end of the video. This was done by fellow AAer Thomas 3120 :-) Hope this helps. The Advantage will look a bit different than this though, remember
