kruuth
I have one of the very, very first playstations. It's a Japanese model, from Japan, that I bought on vacation when I was there 20 years ago. Now it's doing some strange things with the audio. I know this isn't exactly the right place, but does anyone have any advice on where I can get this fixed? If not, are there some forums to go to?
Austin
What is the exact issue with the audio? There are a few places online that repair old consoles, like eStarland. There is likely to be a few individuals that can do the same sort of thing here as well.
+madman
Probably be cheaper to just buy a used one and replace the mobo rather than try to troubleshoot any issues.
Austin
Probably be cheaper to just buy a used one and replace the mobo rather than try to troubleshoot any issues. If it was a US model this would definitely be the wiser way to go. As it's a Japanese system though, it will cost more to acquire another one.
