Sega Mater System 3D glasses via emulation?

Apparently people have been able to play Sega Master System 3D games on an emulator and use the 3D glasses (powered using an actual SMS).

That being the case, is there any possible way that some form of 3D glasses could be made that could be self-powered and used with emulated 3D SMS games?

You'd need support in emulation with frame sync (which many emulators support) and emulation and interface to modern shutter type 3D glasses.

NTSC would be much easier than PAL, many LCD monitors run at 60 Hz anyway.

How can they make that work? The SMS game and the emulated game would have to be in perfect timing sync. Same screens, same AI, etc.

I thought the same thing about timing issues... but I guess at 60Hz you have a 1 in 60 chance of getting the timing spot on!

If you only have to sync the left eye with the left frame a 1 in 2 chance maybe...

Meka supports 3D glasses via emulation if you build an adapter.

 

It would be interesting to see if Sega 3D games can be played on a 3D monitors without needing 30-year old glasses. 3D game that everyone can see.
