Cartoonyworld109
I was trying to make a game with Batari Basic using the Tinkernut turorial but whenever I try to compile it, it says, "2600 Basic compilation failed!LINE --> player0x = 50 : player0y = 50Post compilation files deleted" I don't know what I'm doing wrong, I typed the line "player0x=50:player0y=50", I named the main player "player0" and the enemy "player1", but no matter what I do I keep getting that same message. What am I doing wrong?
ZackAttack
Did you remember to start the line with some whitespace? You'll get a better response if you post basic questions in the basic forum. Attaching the bas file to the post would be helpful too.
acmckibben87
I too am having the same problem. I read somewhere that the Tinkernut Tutorial is outdated. Pretty frustrating considering THAT I CANNOT FIND A SINGLE OTHER TUTORIAL. Literally whenever I look up Visual BB tutorial it's just the Tinkernut tutorial and a bunch of people who downloaded the video for the Tinkernut tutorial and posted it on their own channel. Also (This may be a noob question), what is Whitespace? ZackAttack
Hit the spacebar first on the new line and now you have white space. also check out this post for more info http://atariage.com/forums/topic/236987-i-keep-getting-the-same-error-message/
