bigfriendly
Hello everybody, I was curious about the success of some of your Homebrews as far as sales are concerned. I realize that the market we occupy is small but have any of you made any decent money selling your custom creations? I guess people still occasionally purchase HB that are 10+ years old? Thanks Scott?
Thomas Jentzsch
Define decent money. IIRC I made the most money when I reverse engineered some games for a NES based, Atari 2600 emulating paddle. And yes, people still buy old homebrews.
+SpiceWare
I wouldn't be writing 2600 games if I was in it for the money - I do it for the mental challenge. That said, since the release of Medieval Mayhem at the end of 2006, I've made enough from my work on homebrews (mm, sf2, sr & ss) that it would have covered about 6 car payments. And yes, that is purposely ambiguous. Edited April 15, 2015 by SpiceWare
