Last time's runner up Nuclear Nick will return in the next poll. The categories will be padded out with some games but feel free to make suggestions including any from the games list that match however loosely! We're looking for perhaps a main game and several smaller games that might not be good enough for a regular HSC round but are fun for a quick go or look interesting, and a BASIC bonus game too for each. I've suggested a couple of possible candidates for each to get things started; this post will be edited to include suggestions... [Rainstorm] [Coloud Hopper] [Flood] [Thunder Island] [up Up and Away] [Thunder Bombs] Balloons Clowns and Balloons, [Pinhead], Balloonacy (BASIC)... [super Clown Jumper] [Pooyan] [up Up and Away] Bugs Bug Attack, Bug Off... [Picnic Paranoid] [Whomper Stomper] Bug Attack is probably the best game you've never heard of, seriously good centipede style game. Bug Off is prettty good too Grids Grid Runner, Kid Grid... [beam Rider] [ball Blazer] [Collapse - must figure this one out!] War Tank Commander, Computer War... Plenty of Balloon games out there (including Pooyan), bad weather is proving tyhrick but I have a couple that can be added! I was also going to suggest "River Raid," but then I saw it had been suggested already. River Raid is hardly a "balloon game", You're right, "River Raid" doesn't have many balloons... but it certainly has more than the 2600 version of "River Raid" (which has no balloons at all). There aren't many games with balloons in them, so "River Raid" really did occur to me as a serious suggestion. Plus, on the later levels where the canyon really narrows, those balloons can be downright deadly! Is there a port of Taito's "Crazy Balloon" to the Atari 8-Bit? I'm referring to this game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGZU6pUWWbo There is an Atari 2600 version (that's quite good-- and where I first heard of the game): http://atariage.com/software_page.html?SoftwareLabelID=2725 I'm grasping at straws trying to think of more balloon games.
