ACML
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Atari-Home-Computer-Model-1200XL-/111646841281?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item19feab99c1#shpCntId Currently at $187, not tested and a hefty shipping charge. These type of auctions just baffle me. I'll bet my paycheck that the keyboard does not work. What is desirable about this unit? 1) It is clean. 2) It's a low USA serial number. 3) It has the box. If I was looking for those three things, I guess you have to jump on it as all three usually don't come around too often in one auction. Still, doesn't ~$200 plus hefty shipping sound a little excessive for this?
Paul Westphal
The keyboard fix is easy. $200 is too much. I sold one with 1meg newell ram, XE O.S., Super video 2.1, and Basic C cart with switch for $260.00.

These type of auctions just baffle me. I'll bet my paycheck that the keyboard does not work. What is desirable about this unit? Random guess, but perhaps they have no way of testing it; e.g., no AV cable or RF switch... or maybe just no time. Seems to be an electronics shop, with about 1000 items listed. In other news, looking at the box & the packing material took me back. I can _almost_ remember the moment of getting my 1200XL as a gift... almost. *sniffle*
+kheller2
Its a big computer, so of course its more powerful and expensive than the smaller sized 800xl.
Guest
it's a weird one that's for sure. the "sale prices" of the 1200XL don't even seem to be governed by proper market forces. moreover, it appears to be an "ebay trend" thing. ie - "seller B" has a 1200XL to advertise on ebay and users the only other one he can see for sale on ebay "seller A - $150" - as a benchmark. unfortunately, it's no more complicated than that: one "chancer" seeing how lucky he can get, followed by a genuine seller following the lead. If it's any consolation there are some being sold well under $200. http://www.ebay.co.u...=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
