Noah98 Posted April 26, 2015 Share Posted April 26, 2015 Is the Intellivision version of River Raid rare? I never see it on ebay or locally. I assumed it would be common and cheap. It's one of the few Intellivision games I got to play back in the day. It even made me question my 2600! I see the 2600, 5200, Colecovision, and even Atari 8 bit carts all the time for cheap. I'd love to have a copy for my Intellivision, but I can't imagine spending too much for it considering that I have 3 other versions of the game! ? There were about 4 CIB copies that sold on eBay in the last 1.5 months (I'm ignoring the rare Brazil variant produced by Digiplay). Expect to pay $55 for a CIB copy and $27 for a loose cart. The challenge with collecting River Raid is finding 2 good overlays. The original manufacturing used a paint that tends to flake off of the overlay plastic. I too felt it was a ridiculous price for River Raid, a $5 game on any other console, but thats the way it goes I'll have to take a look at the overlays now, I don't remember if they were good or not...
