However, if the admins feel this is straying in to forbidden territory then please delete and accept my apologies in advance. I am getting a bit threadbare in my search for a sanely-priced 1050 or XF551. Ebay is almost unusable, at best offering 'as is' and 'sold untested' 1050's while the ones they promise are working go for £50-£100 at an absolute steal. More frequently it is double that amount. Other than the interesting chap over in San Francisco, are there any sellers that you chaps could recommend? I would prefer a British merchant or at least European - just from a P&P perspective, not to mention import duties. However all suggestions are welcome. Seen a few 1050s and XF551s change hands there in the past, and a lot of UK traders hang out there.Other than that: immense patience is required to get what you consider to be a bargain. Fred_M, would you say RewindGames were reliable? Have you perhaps used them yourself? €55 is awesome for a working 1050 - I think that might just be on its way to me tomorrow morning! I'm going to dig out my old atari stash tomorrow and give the disks the once over. I am really afraid the majority will have gone mouldy. I am going to start - finally, as I have been putting it off for three years! - getting my physical atari gear back together today. Once I know what works and what doesn't I am then going to repair/replace where necessary. The 1050 is a gonner whatever the case so I think I will be picking up one of your drives in the very near future. That and a IDE v2, a VBXE, a MaxFlash 8MBit and perhaps an Ultimate 1MB. That is currently my working shopping list. First things first though - I need to find out that at least one of my three 800's are still good. ON the drive front, do you ever have XF551's in stock?
