Omega-TI
There are so many neat programs for the TI that is difficult to narrow down the best of the best, but give it your best shot and list your personal favorites here. You never know, you may be bringing a program to someones attention that they might have overlooked in the past. My list is in no special order of preference: BOOT (Especially since Gazoo's new cartridge update) PALEA5 (For use with text on the F18A it just cannot be beat) _________ (BBSing has NEVER been more enjoyable on the TI) BA-Writer (80 column version just rocks... thanks again for the mod Tursi) SETCLOCK (Finally a decent program for the task... you rock Gazoo) Remind Me! (Quick, easy to use and does a great job for what I need) DM2K (Seriously, I doubt I could live without this one, it even works with the HDX) DSK2PC (Easiest way to make a DSK image from the TI) Road Hunter (When I want to have some fun, this is the one I usually load up)
Dexter
Great thread --- Ω ---, at least for me, since I never had any other programs for the TI than PARSEC, TI Invaders and Extended BASIC. I’m completely ignorant of the hard and software history of the 4A. (Although I'm trying to catch up.) Though I do remember two type-in programs: Awari and Runway 180. I’d probably discover some new useful programs with this thread. Nevertheless I’m able to make a list of my favorite programs I know and use now: Disks: BOOT CF MANAGER (SOURCE) HDX MANAGER TI SCRAMBLE (SOURCE) Q*BERT ROADHUNTER (SOURCE) NEVERLANDER TIRUNNER F18ADEMOS (SOURCE) Cartridges: Extended BASIC Editor / Assembler Mini Memory PARSEC (SOURCE) TI Invaders (SOURCE) I’d probably say Extended Basic v2.7 Suite, but it’s still stuck with customs I guess.
Omega-TI
Disks: HDX MANAGER Huh? HDX MANAGER? Did you mean "CF Manager" for a Nano-PEB? Do you mean the HDX server that resides on the PC? I also know of know of the Ti99Dir File Manager for the PC. I'm currently using DM2K to manage all my stuff on the HDX, but if I've been overlooking a program for the HDX, I'm gonna feel like a complete idiot! Where's this program? I'd like to check it out tonight after I get back home.

By the "CF Manager", I mean CFMGR, also for the nanoPEB.

Omega-TI
Funnelweb 80 column. Gazoo I saw an offer of HELP for an F18A conversion. Do you think the Gazoo magic could bring this 80 column version to the F18A masses?
Gazoo
I saw an offer of HELP for an F18A conversion. Do you think the Gazoo magic could bring this 80 column version to the F18A masses? Not with the current VDP memory limitation. 128k is needed, 192k would be preferable. That's the main reason I currently have no interest in the device. If the Vram is expanded, I would be interested. I'd also probably need to find a 9938 to 9918 adapter at that point to plug it into my main TI system.
