ataridave
This month, I got a Top Loader NES, and it's great! The games run perfectly. But I would still like to get it modded for AV out. Minus shipping, how much would that cost? Edited May 25, 2015 by newataridave
7800fan
USA top loader? Expect to get charged an arm and a leg by respectable modder who would prefer USA console not get defiled. Get a Japanese top loader and an adapter cart, it's often cheap compared to USA. You could probably sell the USA console, be able to buy a Japanese one plus adapter and still have some money left for a few cheap but fun Famicom carts, If you really want the USA model modded, it's just a few parts. I'd say $10 at the low end plus shipping. (no I am not offering. I may be good with electronics but my plastic cutting skill is shit)
ataridave
I'll just keep it the way it is, then. Like I said, I love how well the games work on it.
Nutsy Doodleheimer
I'll just keep it the way it is, then. Like I said, I love how well the games work on it. I bought a top load NES back in 2001 and still have it today. I enjoy it a lot, and I rarely notice the barely visible lines that run vertically on the screen. And actually the picture isn't all that bad. I got tired of swapping pins on the front loading model I bought that instead.

I agree with you about the picture-it isn't near as bad as people make it out to be.
ataridave
Honestly, my biggest problem with clones is that (AFIK) Tengen games won't work on most (or any?) of them. And I love Tengen NES games.
