Selling Trading Card Series 1 - 3

Recommended Posts

I decided to sell my Trading Card Series 1 - 3. Its definitely a nice product, but it doesnt really fits in my collection. As everyone knows each set costed about 40$ shipped. I would like to get 110$ shipped for them. Shipping is with insurance.

If you want to join the party with series 4 here is a good chance for you to get the first three sets for a fair price :) Respond in this thread of via PM if you are interessted. I would also trade for CiB Triple Challenge or Mountain Madness.

If no one wants all of them I consider to sell them separately, but since shipping isnt really cheaper I have to ask for 40-45$. I definitely would prefer to sell them in a set.

Not having bought any of them, would you provide some information? What are the differences between each set?

Also, were those published by Intellivision Productions, Inc., or by an independent "home-brewer"?

I am selling the sets from Marc Oberhäuser.

Here the links to the original threads:

Set 1 Set 2 Set 3

In the links you can see pics of the cards and which games are included. The difference of the sets are the included games. As far as I know Marc wants to make cards for each game (also the homebrews) and some variants (like Sears). I am pretty sure he mentioned that he plans to release 5 sets all in all. Set 4 is right now available here: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/238639-intellivision-trading-cards-series-4/

All three previous sets are still available, but for 45€ (about 49$). I paid the release price, which was 37€ if I remember right (about 40$). Since I had to make a line somewhere I decided to sell these cards, or at least I will try to sell them. If course they are still complete. Since I paid about 120$ and they are like new I guess 100$ shipped is a fair price. I doubt that I would sell it for much less than that.

Hey! I can't be expected to keep up with what the kids are doing nowadays! :P

Besides, I keep getting buried under rocks here in North Carolina; and that's after finally getting out of the swamps of Florida.

Oh, I also would trade for a complete Intellivision II. I dont need a box, but the console, all wires and good shaped controllers. If its CiB I would trade straight, of its just the console we could work something out.

To be honest: It was pretty difficult to find someone who wants to buy the cards and so I am happy that I finally found someone. I fact 90 bucks was below the price it costed originally and I also listened them on Ebay without success. So the deal is good for both sides I think. Maybe the value will increase someday, but I do not care about that for my collection.

I understand your point.

Me personally, I bought all the sets because they are cool and they look good in my collection.

I never considered or put a value on them, they can stay here forever. Its all personal choice, no right and no wrong on what you decide to keep or collect.
