Circus Charlie Help!

What is the secret to the final level of Circus Charlie? I can get through the other four levels just fine, but then I get to the final one and I can't do anything. I love the game. Huge fan of the original version and the CV port is amazing! I just need to get past that final screen! lol

I start off swinging:

The idea is to use the trampolines at the bottom to wait until the next rope comes into proper grabbing range.

 

You must therefore develop two skills in this level:

 

1) How to let go of a rope to land straight onto a trampoline (this is actually the harder skill to master)

 

2) How to go from a trampoline to the next rope (not too hard, once you understand the "physics" of it)

 

It is possible to go from one rope to another without using a trampoline, but that's another skill in itself to develop, and the next rope must really be swinging in Charlie's direction just right...

 

This is a really hard level...

OK, that's good to know. I have been trying more of the Jungle Hunt technique and that's not going so well...

Practice. Practice. Practice!!! What better way is there to waste a couple hours of your life especially after waiting some 30 odd years to play this little gem on the CV.

 

Thankfully you can continue the game after losing all your lives.
