I was doing some reading about the 'SimpleStereo' mod itself on a different board.  One user mentioned that it also works as a COVOX - is this correct?

I could find nothing about that on Lotharek's site and I suspect his 'Dual-pokey' mod is slightly different, but still compatible with some of the 'simplestereo' features.

This was a mod that candle offered some time back (Simple Stereo 2).  It also had COVOX on it, but the audio amp was defective.  He was working on Simple Stereo 3, but I think that stalled some time ago.

That explains it!  Given both need access to POKEY and an audio-out I would think from a practical perspective it is either/or on 'SimpleStereo'(1) and 'COVOX'?

I did find this fascinating video, which to me is the epitome of hardware-modding; simple, straightforward and practical:

Sadly I suspect that particular design would be too bulky for the A8 case!!!

Many times ago I read very sophisticated book about "3D radio-components montage"

It was concerned of thermal conditions cosmos etc. No words about Atari...

Nevertheless I think that 3D montage has its way further. FE molecular electronics etc.

:)
