MoomUnit
I just can't break past that Wave 16/17 160,000 mark. Twice, I've gotten the extra ship without losing a life, but to no avail. -------------------------- Has anyone played both the Stella 4.6 version and the actual cartridge on the 2600VCS? Is there any possibility that the hardware runs the 32KB program just a little slower? This is probably just sour grapes, sorry.

Nutsy Doodleheimer
Wow!! This game looks great! Reminds me of Beamrider meets Buck Rogers Planet of Zoom. I have to get this cart.

We agreed that I will try to pick him up, instead of allowing him to drift into deep space with no regard for his well-being. , Speaking on behalf of the human, this is greatly appreciated. This is probably just sour grapes, sorry. I've never heard of anything like this. If anything, I would think it would be slower in Stella, depending on the version and your hardware. I popped it open in Stella to see and didn't notice any difference (other than I suck at playing with a gamepad).
Scrabbler15
83,350 In regard to MoomUnit's question, I had been playing on Stella and moved to the original hardware for this attempt. I played for a week on Stella and could only get to 59,000. This was my first game on the Jr., which you can see by all the zeroes on the screen's scoreboard. This happens to me a lot when moving from the emulator to the hardware. Even when the game seems to look and play the same, I score better on the Jr. .

S.BAZ
257,350 282,300 339,950 342,850 sometimes there's a mess of aliens in your face & you have to keep flying past stuff to keep from getting killed. otherwise if you're in control & have tidy waves of 'em comin' atcha, then it's just being very careful to dodge shots every time you blast some of them. that and keepin' it moving forward so they don't creep up on you from behind. when you're hauling @$$ & a group of them tries to spawn on top of you, keep charging! either blast 'em or get past 'em, but don't try to slow down & dodge, that's how I always get killed in those situations. i feel like this game deserves an extra week, I bet the scores would keep climbing (same with J.O.R.G.E.N.). I just can't break past that Wave 16/17 160,000 mark. Twice, I've gotten the extra ship without losing a life, but to no avail. -------------------------- Has anyone played both the Stella 4.6 version and the actual cartridge on the 2600VCS? Wave 17 is a doozey for sure! I played it on both Stella & hardware & don't notice a difference. ... yeah you get an extra life at 200k. I've been trying to reach that before losing a life but it hasn't happened.
