Hannacek
I only have 2 controller overlays, one for Smurf Paint, and one for War Room, and they are both a tight fit in the controller. They don't slide in easily, you need to slowly inch them forward, and push them under the dividers between the numbers to get it in the controller all the way. Is there something wrong with my controllers, or are the overlays supposed to be this difficult to put in and out of the controller? Its so easy to bend the corners of the overlays, which makes it even more difficult to put in and out.
Pixelboy
It's an unwritten rule of the ColecoVision world: Insert overlays slowly and carefully. All CV controllers are like that. That's why it's preferable for homebrew overlays to be made of plastic material rather than cardboard. Cardboard overlays cannot handle this kind of punishment well. fiddlepaddle
I don't even remember; maybe that's why I never use the overlays. I probably tried a few when I first got mine, but I'll usually short-circuit problems like that...
Hannacek
It seems like a design flaw. They should have designed the controller to have more room for the overlays.
+Yurkie
They fit excellent IMO. If they where not a nice precise snug fit they would slop around. Once the overlay is about halfway over the 3,6,9 and # keys pushing down on the overlay and sliding to the left is not difficult.
