You people got me addicted.

So I went into the store today. Looking for various Game Boy items. I spy NFL Football and Space Armada for the INTV. Both were boxed. NFL Football had its overlays, instructions and play books. Space Armada had a manual. I thought I already had them both, but I BOUGHT THEM ANYWAY. As it turned out, I didn't have NFL Football. I thought for sure I had it. Maybe the same guy that stole my He-Man cartridge also took then NFL one. And now I'm working on the Secret Government Waffle Project as well. But this story does have a happy ending, though: I like being addicted to INTV, even though there aren't that many games I like for it. So I guess that's why I'm making games for it: So I can have something I like to play. And now I have a duplicate Space Armada cartridge.

Welcome! I myself found the AA Intellivision forum in 2010, having discovered the home-brewing community first in 2008. I got stuck here and never looked back.

Should we discuss your impending change of name? How does Inty2609land sound?

I bought mine a couple of years ago and have around 45-50 games for it. At first I didn't seem intetested in owning one. In 2011 I bought Intellivision Lives for the PS2 and enjoyed the games on there and it led me to wanting to buy one. I enjoy the Intellivision a lot! A fun system, great multi player games, excellent sports games, and incredible graphics even for it's time in the early 80's. I browse through a lot of the forums in here. I don't regret having an intellivision in my game room. :-)

I went from 0 to 124 games (plus most homebrews) in under 5 years. Glad you're designing games. Looking forward to your progress.

Yeah, but we know that half of those 124 games are Worm Whompers, so they don't count! :P

LOL!

I started tinkering with the Inty back in 2010 because somebody told me it was hard to program for . I didn't find it a particularly difficult system to get to grips with because the instruction set reminds me a great deal of ARM (which I've coded since the mid 90s). For me, its always been far more fun to make the machine do what I want it to do rather than play the back in the day games. Having said that, I do occasionally play Bump'n'Jump and Worm Whomper. Worm Whomper has been one of the 1st things I've run on new cart designs and Hive protos :D.

Hehe, I started writing an Intellivision game just because scalpel put me a challenge ;) and now I've an Intellivision and 56 games

You're kidding me ^^ I remembered about the challenge but you already wanted to program a game, didn't you ? :)

Not only that, but he cheated: he programmed the Intellivision like if it were a ColecoVision.
