Rev
Executive Producer is only the investor, I have no control over content. Oh well. So, how do you personally feel about the groovybee reference? Am I making a federal case out of nothing? Its kinda funny actually to see Groovy-gate linger on after year after year.
Intymike
There is one thing that is much more important! The guy with the fork is now left handed.

I leave my politics where it really counts: That would be elected officials that are capable of f___ing up my life in some manner. I really do not care about the sign one way or another. It is just another game that I will get to have in the future. It could have someone on the front cover picking his nose for all I care. pimpmaul69
Shame. I cant believe grown adults could lower themselves to the antics of a 12 year old. You know its bad when rev is bothered by it.

I was a little shocked to notice it. When I seen the announcement for new box art, like a giddy little kid I went to check out the new box art. Only to see that......but hey, maybe it should be left!!! It gives Groovy credit in a weird way. It shows he is still important enough to be referenced and given credit, right there on the front cover! Bravo Team Elektronite! :-)
m-crew
Is it even worth mentioning, if it wasn't pointed out 99.9 % of people wouldn't even know what that sign even said,(very hard to read) let alone who it was meant to jab.. Just pointing it out as a fairly new AA intellivision member.. Cheers to all the Good people here... Im lucky to have found this sight and all.. lets all play nice together... Fushek
I cant believe grown adults could lower themselves to the antics of a 12 year old. Couldn't have said it better myself. If you want to be treated as a business professional make sure that you act like one. In the immortal words of Elsa ... slab0meat
A good percentage of the Intellivision forum threads (or at least, parts of threads) are on par with antics of a 12-year olds. I wouldn't have even known what that sign read without it being pointed out to me. Even knowing what it reads now, I'm not sure I could possibly care less. However, I do hope those that are offended or think it's childish, "speak" with your wallets instead of letting your OCDs force you to own the game. wolfy62
I think the sign is pretty funny, because I like the Groovy reference at this point, but as far as someone picking there nose on the cover of a video game box, I would never buy that game!

Its kinda funny actually to see Groovy-gate linger on after year after year. Here is the one fact I remember as far as Groovy-gate goes. He collected upfront money for two games he hasn't released, 2 years and four months ago from many Intellivision collectors. This is a fact. I asked for a refund about 8 months ago and received that, thank you Groovybee! Most out there are probably still waiting patiently for the games they paid for. I hope he comes through for all of you and the games are great and worth the wait! Enjoy the Intellivision, best to all!!! Wolfy62 What happened with the deal for him to produce Hovver Bovver is well beyond me and what I know.

I'm surprised I haven't been mentioned yet as well, since according to some I'm the one who "stirs the pot." Good job at proving them wrong! bikeguychicago
I understand what you are saying about the product itself. I was thinking about your operation in general, maybe opening up things to an audience wider than the few dozen people who frequent this tiny corner of the internets. Just an ask for yourself "why should I not tell the world I sell Inty games?" There are lots of ways to leverage the fact that you carry items for sale beyond advertising especially for a single thing. And again, pay-per-click means you pay no dollars for the advertising itself, you only pay if people click-throug an ad to your sale page. It seems like Retro magazine (especially with its new expanded distribution in Barnes and Noble) would be an excellent source to advertise the current and upcoming games. +intvsteve
Speaking of RETRO magazine... Has anyone here gotten any of the rewards from the Kickstarter yet?
+SoulBuster
If a kick-starter does not reach their pledged goal, they do not charge you and you get no rewards. Goal has to reached first.

I'm talking about the RETRO Magazine year two Kickstarter from last year, which did meet its goals. Yes, it's OT w.r.t. Hover Bovver. @bikeguychicago's post mentioned advertising in Retro magazine, which is what spurred my question. Figured some people around here participated. Rev
I don't have my head buried in the sand. I'm just patiently waiting until GB games are complete. If I was mad I would of asked for a refund and went on with my life. Simple as that.

No disrespect to you, Rev, Dave Harley and Intelligentvision, Collectorvision or Elektronite. I am just one independent video game collector here.I love what you guys have done for the system. You have all released great games on time and without collecting up front and have sent out your games in a timely fashion. Thank you guys!!! That is the Intellivision way to do things.
