papa_november
I've mostly found it in QuickShot/SVI/Performance analog PC joysticks, but I know it's probably been used in Apple II sticks as well. I have a couple of joysticks where they've worn out and are too jumpy and flaky to really be usable. I'd like to replace them without having to cannibalize other sticks, but I can't seem to figure out where I might be able to get them new. When I do a search I either wind up with normal rotary potentiometers, or I get slide-style pots of a different size and shape. Does anyone have any idea where I might get NOS replacements for these, or are they a custom part?
mickcris
this one looks similar: http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Bourns/PDV30-21D-104B/?qs=sGAEpiMZZMtC25l1F4XBU6L98ew7apOeFtPIklMNsgU%3d just guessing its a 120K pot so this 100K would be close. papa_november
That almost looks like it'd work, which is closer than I've gotten before. Unfortunately the slider post and mounting holes seem just different enough to cause trouble. Maybe the pots that are in these sticks are simply an older version of this part. Osgeld
could buy one, break out the glue and hobby saw, worst case you tried and only out a few bucks (counting for postage heh)
