+Allan
Does any have the second disk image (side b or 'record disk') of Atari's Silent Butler? It doesn't seem to be in the Holmes collection. Allan
Mclaneinc
Wasn't the second disk a data disk you made up?
+Allan
Wasn't the second disk a data disk you made up? No. It was another disk that was included (might have been a flippy). You did need a blank disk as well though. Allan

Allan I don't know if this is it, but this is what I have. I looked at it with a Hex editor and there is not much on it. Doug
BillC
I believe the second disk is the records disk A new records disk can be created using [Control][N] once Silent Butler has booted(from page 5 of the User's Manual). http://www.atarimania.com/8bit/manuals/Silent_Butler.pdf
+Ripdubski
The Reecord disk is a data disk. You create one for each year you want to work with. I believe the one in the box is empty. I will check mine tomorrow.
+Allan
Looks like I was wrong. Didn't read the manual far enough. Thanks guys. I'll put them up on Atarimania. Allan

Tempest
Neat. I like how it talks to you like it really is your butler, that's actually pretty neat.

_The Doctor__
I stopped using it because the time date needs to be fixed for now.... it keeps getting it all wrong... worked fine back then though... Maybe it can be patched up to work for the current calender?? That would be a blast!

luckybuck
Hi together! Maybe I am stupid, but I couldn't manage to get SB running. Of course Control N makes a new record disk: Then, SB asks to restart, O. K. no problem so far, then he ask for the record disk, o. k. but then(!) he asks for the old(!) record disk!!! That is the problem! No way to get beyond this point. Even if I create a new one and insert the given record disk. Any idea folks?
FULS
Let me know if this disk works for you. I posted it before in post #4, but some thought it wasn't needed. It might not help but here it is again. Silent Butler Data Disk.atr Good Luck, Doug Edited June 18, 2015 by FULS

Tempest
I love the whole servant angle. It has quite a personality. They need an OS that talks to you like that.
