budz2355
So this stuff came in the mail today.... Anybody know anything fun I can do with them? Separately or together is fine. One question: XB2.7 doesn't work with the widget? Guess maybe I should have asked before I ordered one...
Shift838
mini-memory is cool. you can save programs directly to it and call it later. it has a battery inside. If it does not retain program then the battery will need changed out. if you did not get the manual with the MiniMemory cartridge it is on the FTP site under /programming/Assembler/Mini Memory module I have also always had issues with my cartridge expanders for XB2.7, and Super Extended basic. +Schmitzi
...I think it´s not an issue, it´s a feature So I don´t use this cartridges with an extender, nor do I pull them out with the TI powered on.
Iwantgames:)
The cartridge extender is pretty cool, just don't try to use it with more than 1 of Gazoo's game carts or XB 2.7 as it won't work. But it does save the cartride port from constantly changing carts
Omega-TI
One question: XB2.7 doesn't work with the widget? Guess maybe I should have asked before I ordered one... It's not recommended for use with other cartridges, however, in << THIS MESSAGE >> by Gazoo, he showed one use for an XB2.7S cartridge with a Widget. Note, doing this requires that you remove the Super Carts E/A GROM chip. Now one feature of the Widget in your case will be AWESOME. 1) Load BOOT into your XB2.7S cartridge 2) Now load another program from the BOOT menu. 3) Press that little square RESET button on the Widget. Do you like that? It's addictive. Before you know it you'll be using it on almost everything that does not use F18A extended features. +Lee Stewart
Y’all do know that the first Navarone Cartridge Extender was named “Widgit”, not “Widget”, don’t you? See here. ...lee

I've never seen it referred to in official documentation as a "Widgit", there is no reference to "Widgit" on this box either. I've only heard and read other's calling it that. Now to be fair, the correct and proper way to spell the word it actually "Widget".

Now to be fair, the correct and proper way to spell the word it actually "Widget". Nothing is fair in naming and advertising of products. In that game, there are no rules about the proper spelling of words. “Widgit” is the name it had in the beginning, mistake or on purpose—just check the images I referenced in my last post. I was just pointing it out—people make assumptions all the time. The name certainly didn't last. As Jim pointed out, not very many were made before the version you pictured went into production with a different and, certainly, more descriptive name. ...lee
Omega-TI
Like I said, "I had no clue", as in totally ignorant of it's history. I did assume that the dictionary or generic spelling was correct.

Awesome! ...I wonder if Owen ever found that list of Mini mem games? Maybe there is a minimem program thread like Omegas F18A program thread? ...it looks like the label has been peeled off my cart, so hopefully the person that sold it did that so they could change the battery. My puny 90k drives are unable to do the upgrade I am told? ...although I think Greg offered to upgrade anyone's cart for the cost of shipping, I should maybe ask him to do that for me. Y’all do know that the first Navarone Cartridge Extender was named “Widgit”, not “Widget”, don’t you? See here. ...lee Interesting trivia! ...yea I just thought it was a TIer/AAer colloquialism.
