ArcadeJunkie
Hello INTV fans! I would like to announce my entry into the contest. I have some preliminary programming done, but mainly it exists in sketches and in my head. The working title is "Horrorcade" and its basically a game that follows the roots of "Halloween" and "Texas chainsaw massacre" for the 2600 where you take control of the bad guy and try to rack up the body count! Im going to have as many of the classic campy horror villians as I can (slightly altered to avoid copyright issues) as selectable characters. Maybe gameplay style similar to "Dracula", but I'm not 100% sure yet. I will show more screenshots and whatnot as I get further into development. Let me know if you have any additional thoughts or comments. Thanks!

ArcadeJunkie
Hey Rev! Its pretty much just been some basic goofing around kinda stuff. This will be my first "real" attempt at a full game. Its something I've been wanting to do for a while now. I can't wait to see how the next few months go! I'll keep updates going as I progress.

+DZ-Jay
Here are some monsters I think would be cool to play: Freddy \_ (Of course!) Jason / Dracula The Blob Guy with chainsaw Actually, if you filled your game with random axe- and chainsaw-wielding freaks, you've got most of 1980s horror genre covered. And add the Blob, because it seems easy, and because melting people's flesh with acid-like slime sounds rather cool. Oh, and bonus bragging points if you could add a slumber party scene were your monster had to kill all the chicks engaged in a pillow fight! -dZ.

ArcadeJunkie
I am truly sorry for the lack of updates.... My life has taken many odd turns in the last few months and I haven't been able to give this game the attention I have wanted to. This game has been a dream of mine for a while, so I have no plans on canceling it. I just know that in order to it the way I really want to, there is no way to have it done before the end of the year. I will have to tentatively schedule this for release sometime in 2016. I will continue to post updates as I can get them. I can assure you that if it comes out like I'm hoping, it will be worth the wait. Don't hesitate to give me your thoughts and suggestions as I progress. This is a labor of love and I want it to be nothing less than awesome! Keep the classic plastic alive! +DZ-Jay
No worries, I understand how it goes. If you have any progress on the actual game that you'd like to share, please do so. We can also offer help as needed. -dZ.
+DZ-Jay
*bump* And a reminder that if you want your finished game to be considered, you must submit it to the official mailing list, as per the rules.
