+KaeruYojimbo
1,859 I wouldn't mind the pixel-perfect jumps so much if the rabbit would actually, you know, jump when I push the button. It's only Saturday and I'm pretty sure I'm done for this week. I probably wouldn't have played at all but I didn't want to miss 3 weeks in a row.

24Fanatic365
And here I thought, "I think I'll actually give the HSC a shot this week", since I saw the post so early. Fired up Springer, got like 100 points, and then decided, "Nah, not worth wasting more time on an amazingly awful game like this. I probably have more important things to do with my evening, like, say, watching grass grow." Who exactly picked this game, anyway? Lol! Springer could definitely be the poster child to answer newbies who ask, "What is 'shovelware'?" Gorfy
Hey now. Threshold is pretty good. Love Threshold! I think I might have suggested it at one point, but maybe I'm thinking of when I played it on Highscore.com.
StanJr
slow progress (yet another platform jumper at which I suck)..... New score: 1,737 Springer (1982) (Tigervision).png It's not you that sucks Gorfy, it's this steaming pile. And Kaeru, I said Miner 2049er, not Threshold. Threshold is good. But this game has the exact same mechanics as the Miner games and they are both frustration festivals. All of that said, my final effort for the week is 1153. It is way to nice outside to waste my free time on this mess.

Gorfy
But this game has the exact same mechanics as the Miner games and they are both frustration festivals. :lolblue: you guys can blame me for this one As StanJr so eloquently stated, this game is frustrating. But I don't blame anybody because I would like to see each 2600 game (excluding variations) played at least once in the HSC before the day I retire, or croak Besides, Springer does have some retro-charm appeal, and bad games can be entertaining in their own right just as bad "B" movies can be entertaining (please note my avatar as a prime example )

+KaeruYojimbo
And Kaeru, I said Miner 2049er, not Threshold. Threshold is good. But this game has the exact same mechanics as the Miner games and they are both frustration festivals. When you said "fine Tigervision tradition" I thought you were lumping all of their games in to the crap pile. Bad movies can be entertaining in their own way, but in a bad movie you're never the one trying to the the protagonist to the top of the screen. One of the best things about the HSC is it gets people to actually sit down and play games they wouldn't normally. I suspect there are quite a few Atari collectors who will go on about how much they love old Atari games, but play the same 10 games over and over again while saying how much Game X sucks even though they've never actually played it. That said, some games actually do suck. This is one of them. Edited July 6, 2015 by KaeruYojimbo
