nathantw
I was on eBay and saw that Desert Strike is selling for over $129 for just the cartridge and $330 for the one with a box?!! Is that correct? Has to be a typo. All these years I never knew that I had a mini collectors item in my collection. I have the box and instructions too and if it makes a difference, even the original plastic wrap that went around the box. I'm just at a lost. Why is it so rare and expensive? 108 Stars
It is worth exactly 93.35$. Available new from the publisher.
Trew
Is that the original style box/curved lip cart though? I've seen PCB copies with clamshell cases that look like "official" Telegames versions. Some collectors might prefer the OG packaging/cart. There's an original copy for sale on regular auction (not Buy it Now) at the mo if you're in Europe. 108 Stars
True, it could be PCBs. But even the curved lip version should sell for much less if you are a bit patient. Definitely way lower than 100$. A friend of mine got his recently from a convention, cost him like 70 or so.

Saw a bundle of games with Desert Strike among em on a french classified ads site, and asked the guy to sell it to me individually for a much more reasonable price, which he did. There's an original copy for sale on regular auction (not Buy it Now) at the mo if you're in Europe. Telegames sells the Box (original or reprint, not sure) plus a simple green PCB and Black & White standard paper photocopy of the manual After all these years i only recently attained a CIB Desert Strike with original box and original instruction book. I already had a few original curved carts so finally i got the whole thing CIB. I have at least one curved Desert Strike cart which i am keeping for trade for a few things i am still missing in my collection. Would rather swap with a collector then put up on eBay, even if i would end up getting more in return from there.
HunterZero
I lucked out recently and picked up a Lynx 2 console and games lot locally on eBay. Said it came with 10 games, 3 boxed but in the pictures I spotted a boxed Desert Strike. Ended up arriving with 17 games, 10 boxed including Desert Strike and 7 loose with manual, she must have found more games. Snagged it for the opening bid which was quite cheap, much less than the above asking price for Desert Strike. Boxes are a little rough but solid and better than no box. And so now I have CIB Desert Strike. Edited July 26, 2015 by HunterZero
GadgetUK
I got one of the last boxed with standard curved lip carts from best electronics in 2012 ish. He had several left at the time, not sure if they've sold out.
Twoface2
Got mine for 17 Euros CIB curved lip from a video game convention 2 years ago. It was the only Lynx game the seller had to offer.
