Heavy Coleco Gemini Low Serial

Picked up a box of random systems and included was a Coleco Gemini.

The serial number is 0006186 and has a bit more weight to it then my other Gemini

 

Is there anything special about this machine?

I think the reason nobody has replied is because there is nothing special or unusual about your seriel number or your observation regarding the units heavier weight. Almost every piece of even somewhat successful electronic circuitry undergoes multiple revisions during the lifespan of its manufacturing run in order to cut costs, implement improvements, etc.

Are the solder joints for the controllers and power supply intact and working? That seems to be a common point of failure on these and it would be curious to see one that has better or stronger slider work and related components.

Probably just more robust RF shielding. They were very strict back then. If anything like a kids toy would ever interfere with the three big TV networks ability to advertise, that product would not make it to market.
