MemberAtarian
I just got my CompuMate, but I don't know what kind of casette recorder does it support?
+save2600
Any kind, assuming you can hack or have the appropriate connectors. Heck, even an mp3/CD player or your phone could be used to load programs into it. We've been doing just that with the Starpath Supercharger for years. MemberAtarian
So everything is okay if it has an 3,5 jack connector? I have a laptop and jack to jack cable, so can I just record the "noise" and play it can for loading? Mef
It might take some fiddling with the volume settings (usually setting it high), and disabling all kinds of post processing / equalizers on your device (if any), but ultimately anything that can play records or sound files will do with a proper connector. Just don't use heavily compressed formats as these will screw things up. WAVs are working fine, low bit rate mp3s - not so much.
