MrBeefy
I am so far out of this game but I was trying to find a purpose for my mother's old computer. Is there any newer MAME bootable CDS out there that are simple enough to drag the roms into a folder burn the disk and pop in the computer and turn it on? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Keatah
Not ready-made. Not that I'm aware of. You could probably make one yourself. USB keydrive might be better because you can then do some configuration and have them remain sticky.

I've seen other things listed but they all seem outdated. Heck was is USB Keydrive?
Petran79
GroovyMAME runs from CD or USB. For a reason since it ensures best possible display emulation and minimum input lag https://code.google.com/p/groovyarcade/wiki/USB_installation
CRTGAMER
I am so far out of this game but I was trying to find a purpose for my mother's old computer. I ran a floppy version back in the day, slow load but the novelty to see if it would work. You will have to set the Mame.INI or Mame32.INI files to reflect the drive letter and subdirectories for Roms, Some Mame INI files just look for subfolders under the Mame directory, though some versions do include the drve Letter. Artwork, etc matched to the PC CD drive on your Moms PC. The roms will load slower and no settings changes or scores will be saved. Best to just copy the CD you burned back to the hard C drive same directory as yours so the INI files will not have to be edited. scotty
I know it is for the old computer, but I really like the version of Mame for the Raspberry Pi. $35 and it connects to any HDMI or composite video source, and does an amazing job. I travel a lot for work, and take it with me to the hotels to play on their TV. Awesome stuff.
