TheVgaTv
So I'm working on my upcoming web show and wanted to know how to properly pronounce Xonox. Is there an official/accepted pronunciation?
Nutsy Doodleheimer
I would assume Xonox is pronounced as Zawnox. I think the X is used as a Z pronounciation.

+Atarius Maximus
I would assume Xonox is pronounced as Zawnox. I think the X is used as a Z pronounciation. I've also always pronounced it like "Zawnox".

Zwackery
"zonn-ix" according to this commercial:
IHATETHEBEARS
It was like ZON-ICKS.
high voltage
Sounds the same the other way 'round
jaybird3rd
I've always said zowe-knocks (the first syllable rhymes with "know"). It always seemed obvious to me that the "X" should be pronounced like a "Z", like the "X" in "xanthan gum."
+MattelAquarius
If I had made the final cut to be an American Gladiator, my onscreen name would have been Xerxes. It didn't pan out.
CPUWIZ
Just like the drug Xanax, except with O's.
Wickeycolumbus
As wrong as it is, I always think of it as Oxnox. Ox like the animal.
Skippy B. Coyote
I've always pronounced it Zon-ox, and I think that's the correct pronunciation but I could be mistaken.
high voltage
Anyways, I like their games, except Tomarc the Barbarian
Mord
only games of theirs I've played much of was Spikes Peak and Ghost Manor since I had the double ender for it. Loved both of them.
TheVgaTv
It's only spelled Xonox, but it's pronounced "Throat warbler mangrove". Thank you for this. My girlfriend cracked up at it, and long story short, just ordered the complete series on DVD. You get a gold star (her words)

Jinks
zon-ox
Rhomaios
"zonn-ix" according to this commercial: This is how I've pronounced it, too. I know it ends in -ox, but always thought it sounded funky to pronounce it similarly to xerox. Zericks just sounds better. And now apparently advertisement agrees with me (or rather, I with it). TheVgaTv
Your girlfriend had never heard of Monty Python? She got the reference before I did, which got us talking and why we ordered the full set to watch together.
sloth-machine
Anyways, I like their games, except Tomarc the Barbarian I actually like Tomarc. The platforming and jumping is so unconventional, yet I find the game enjoyable. Maybe it's the D&D fantasy setting, and the 'Adventure-ness' of finding a sword that dpesn't really look like a sword.
