Shift838
All, The passing of Tony has made me think of how much that I really did not know about him and that I would have liked to know him better. I would like to have a section in the October edition of the SHIFT838 newsletter as a Tribute To Tony. I would really enjoy learning more about him so that many of us could read about not only the accomplishments that Tony did for our TI community over the years but as well as some stories about Tony from personal experiences from others. Please don't post them here, but in a PM to me so we can get it all lined out for next months newsletter for all to enjoy and learn. I am sure there are many stories and comments that will be made. Thanks,

Omega-TI
Chris, This is a fantastic idea, write your heart out man, because Tony was a pillar of our little community and deserves only the best. Having read your newsletters, I know you're up to the task. I also am looking forward to this special edition like no other. Tony's passing leaves a deep hole, I'll think of him every time I look at or use his XB2.7s cartridge, as I'm sure so many others will as well. With his cartridge, so many of us have a little piece of Tony not only in our hearts, but in our homes as well.
firepod
Great Idea Chris, he was a great member of the community, and I am lucky to have his XB2.7 Cart, my favorite one by far....
Omega-TI
When your newsletter is done, I think I'll send a copy to his wife. Sometimes wives only have a vague idea of their husbands hobbies. This was shown in the "49 a" reference. With the newsletter, the family can see how much he meant to all of us.
Imperious
Very sad news. My Condolences to His Family and friends. Definitely a great loss to the TI community. I'll think of Him whenever I load up one of His gamecarts and XB 2.7. He also fixed the Qbert game in Cart 4 when I found a weird glitch there. I hope His Family are aware, or are made aware that His TI contributions have been used in far off places around the world such as Australia. Omega-TI
Okay who knew Tony well enough to take on the procedure for HALL of FAME induction? << CLICK HERE >>
JamesD
Very sad news. I really didn't have any dealings with Tony outside of reading his messages on the forum, but I'll never forget asking if it were possible to add The Missing Link to an Extended Basic Cart.Tony didn't just say it was possible, he had it working in around a week and who knows how long it was before he even saw my message. It was almost like dealing with Scotty on the Enterprise.
Shift838
Okay who knew Tony well enough to take on the procedure for HALL of FAME induction? << CLICK HERE >> I 2nd this motion. When Richard and I were doing the 'Floppy Days' podcast with Randy Kindig we actually touched on the Hall Of Fame nomination topic. We did not get into any specifics, just more around how it was done. I think there are a few people here that knew Tony well enough to nominate him to the HOF. I definately think in my opinion he has accomplished enough to warrant be inducted.
