ave1
...yet the CBS Games Booster Grip with 2600 joystick (which is essentially a two button-functioning controller) doesn't work on the Colecovision? Is there a way to get the 2600 controller with Booster Grip to function as a two-button Colecovision controller by adding a resistor or cutting a wire going to one of the pins? I even have a Champ Keypad that can be put in between the Atari stick and Colecovision for keypad purposes to make this even more compatible... Supergun
The short answer is that the pin outs are different. Although the Atari 2600, Atari 7800, Atari XE, Colecovision, Sega Master, Sega Genesis, etc. all use the same 9 pin joystick connectors, the functions they assign to the 9 pins is not the same on them. Some are almost identical and even compatible, but not perfect.
VectorGamer
If Omega Race works with the CV controller, why doesn't someone hack Stargate so it can be played with a CV or other 2 button controller?

It's been done - Defender 2. Works with Sega Genesis gamepads, and probably the Amiga CD 32 Joypad.
