Industrial controls are generally too stiff for twitch-like actuation required by video games. Their primary function is to hold up to abuse and work trouble free for years. Try to rapid fire SHMUP style on an elevator button or test your Street Fighter skills on a motorized wheelchair joystick (make sure it's turned off). Neat idea though.
