I got a lot done on my game today, and I feel that it's mature enough that I can make a post about it.
After making a few VCS demos and such but not feeling like finishing them, I thought I'd come up with a game for the VCS I'd get passionate about. After Sprybug's awesome Sidescrolling games, I figured I'd try and make one myself, because sidescrollers are always awesome. Mine's not quite as complex as it only scrolls one way, but I figured I'd keep it simple for my first one.
For the time being, temporary fix:
If you have problem with reset near the Cat Statue try unplugging the P2 Controller for the time being.

The last two months I've been hard at work throwing code at DASM and making this scrolling engine. The scrolling engine is just about finished, I need to clean up a few collision bugs, but that's about it. The boss engine is also about 70% finished.
I also coded up a level editor, so it should be pretty quick to design the levels as well.
So far I'm happy with the progress I've made in 2 months, and I'm happy I can finally share my progress!
