+Schmitzi
. . If I have a Rave99-Speech-inda-PEB-Adapter..... do you think I can plug in i.e. a Miner-2049er-cartridge ? ...or another PEB (by just plugging the flexcable onto it) ? +jedimatt42
That is an interesting question. But I highly doubt it. Looking at this: http://www.mainbyte.com/ti99/speech_peb/speech_peb.htmlwhich is not exactly the RAVE99 adapter, you can see that things are only partially provided. Looking at this: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/24418022949668911/ you can plainly see that the rave99 board is also not fully wired. -M@
+jedimatt42
If you are into imaginative thought: could 3 flex cable cards be made to run 2 PEBs on 1 TI?
+Schmitzi
If you are into imaginative thought: could 3 flex cable cards be made to run 2 PEBs on 1 TI? That is somehing I would like to try. But my idea was just to use the SidePort-Splitter I have (from IEC), or to have a fluxbus:)-cable with the PEB-Card-Interface on both sides. Just to connect PEB #1 and PEB#2 with each other. As it is a bus, it could run if the terminating is fine. Maybe some other small changes.... But this all is not my stuff and I don´t know about, and I don´t want to risk my hardware
+Schmitzi
. Hi, sorry, but what I ever wanted to know.... Can we please pin up such important threads like Classic99, UberGrom, XB2.7, all Cartridge-Makings and and and ? Is there any reason NOT to use this great function from AtariAge ? Please look around once at other forums here on AA, there are more threads pinned up everywhere, and that really looks good. So, we maybe could do some good organization here. Especially for new people this could be extreme helpful, to see on the first view what is important. It´s not so nice to search for one of these main threads, and errative posting into another..... Or see people starting new threads for old dogs. And walking kneedeep through doubled threads which sound similar. Maybe this can be defined/nominated/requested somehow by the users here, Maybe someone wants to make a poll for that, starting with some suggestions or so ? thanks so, here are my suggestions, easy made by ssorting for "Most replies" and "Most Viewed": Development Forum: and for the root forum:
Tursi
There are two good reasons not to go nuts with pinning topics: First is that it gets hard to find the pinned topic you want when there are more than 2 or 3. Second is that they make it harder to browse all the other topics, especially when the pinned topic goes stale. You want to keep pinned topics to the most important things that the most people will use the most often, and just let the automatic time-based sort manage the rest. Anything critical you can search for. The "resources" topic is already great for that, since it provides links to all the other important things, rather than a pin for each one.
+jedimatt42
As I have demonstrated, I'm not the most forum savvy individual. But what I've seen that works best for pinned topics are indexes, and lists, such as the developer resources topic, which is pinned. The .bin topic, is a nice new edition that fits that. The only other thread floating around that looks like it should be pinned to me, is the 'toxic lists' thread, http://atariage.com/forums/topic/241978-ti-99-resources-lists/ It provides that index to many things TI. Schmitzi, the other threads you highlighted as candidates, you also demonstrated that pinning isn't necessary for them. The popularity searches make them easily accessible automatically. I made a suggestion somewhere else here regarding more pinning, but after getting a better feel for it, there aren't many threads that meet that index of things criteria that I would require of pinned threads. The high score, and photos thread are exempt from that criteria, because they are clearly declaring community values. -M@

+Schmitzi
. yes, all right, revised that now, and maybe I am working (and sorting) in a different way than other people do. Not the first time I hear that Normally my brain-gain is NOT to use any search-functions for things, BUT to find them by structure. But this might be a problem here, so many people, and many threads for similar sounding topics thx
