atari2600land
Insomnia does wonders for video game making. Presenting my newest project's title screen. Hey, why not? That's all I have so far, just the title screen. And even this took a few hours.
atari2600land
I could go to sleep for a million years. But I can't because my stomach hurts. So I worked on this a little bit more. I added a title tune. I was thinking about doing "Yellow Submarine", but the submarine is not yellow, so instead I went with "In the Navy." That and I think "In the Navy" was easier to figure out how to do. Tested and works great on real hardware. Of course, there was not much to test. gosub20151120.zip

atari2600land
Well, I worked on this all night as well as for a few more hours during the last few days, and I got a maze. I would have liked to post this on SMS Power! but it seems to be down at the moment. So here. gosub20151125.zip

atari2600land
I worked on this again and got the game to go to the title screen once the sub reaches the chest. gosub20151211.zip

Shawn
It's gonna be neat when you have this game on pretty much every system
atari2600land
I decided that since I couldn't get the barriers working for level 3 that it was signalling a time to move on. So now I'm working on a Game Gear version of my INTV game "Bananas Are Good." I figured out how to make it play "Yes, We Have No Bananas." The ROM is here: http://www.atari2600land.com/bananasaregood/banana20151214gg.zip
atari2600land
I figured out why the score changes color from black to green upon pressing start to start the game. I fixed it so it's always green. I also added a swatter. No flies yet. That's next. banana20151215ggv2.zip
atari2600land
I got the fly up and moving. I spent about 2 or 3 hours on this. The hardest part was trying to make him move randomly. banana20151215ggv4.zip
atari2600land
Press button 2 when the fly is under the swatter to swat him. Notice if you have button 2 pressed, you can't move around. This was done to make the game a little bit harder. banana20150103v2gg.zip Edited January 3, 2016 by atari2600land
atari2600land
I got a timer in the game. Download it. Play it. Tell me your thoughts on it. banana20160103v3gg.zip Edited January 3, 2016 by atari2600land

atari2600land
Title screen added. banana20160106v2gg.zip
atari2600land
Title screen improved. I apparently thought it was January 6 when it was January 5. Even though the previous file name is the same, the contents are different. So download this one. banana20160106v2gg.zip
atari2600land
I added a "game over" screen at the end. I think I also got rid of the blinking score problem I was having, at least on real hardware. This is the last update for today. Let me know what you think of the game. banana20160106v4gg.zip
atari2600land
In case you don't have a Game Gear or emulator, I made a short YouTube video about the game: http://youtu.be/PsUMQxkEvFU
atari2600land
I had discovered that when the screens change, there were some weird squares pop up for a fraction of a second where the text used to be. I think I fixed that problem. http://www.atari2600land.com/bananasaregood/banana20160107gg.zip Edited January 7, 2016 by atari2600land
atari2600land
As it turns out, I didn't fix that problem. So unless you see something I should change, I consider this the final version of "bananas are good" for the Game Gear. bananasaregoodgamegear.zip
