FS: Atari Lynx I Refurbished with new caps - PAG-0201

This Lynx has just had all of the capacitors replaced with high quality Nichicon caps. Given that these systems are about 15+ years old, capacitors are often a weak point and will eventually need to be replaced. This was done as a preventative measure to ensure working performance for years to come. Also replaced is the Q11 N-Channel power mosfet, which commonly goes bad in Lynx systems, rendering them unable to be used on AC adapters or by using the normal power button. The screen is is clear and bright (does show some typical middle banding), sound is loud and clear. The plastic screen lens has been polished, but has some light scuffing and wear. The sound is loud and clear. All buttons work properly. Internals have all cleaned for proper operation. AC jack has been reinforced with hot glue, as they are a weak point on this original design.

Unit is missing the battery door, and you can see some paint is coming off the bottom right (pretty normal for Lynx I's).

I also perform other upgrades, repairs on Lynx units. If you want an upgraded speaker, or a new power regulator, or even a fancier VGA screen, I can do these mods on your Lynx. All repairs and upgrades are done skillfully and properly with proper tools.

Asking $50 USD + Shipping.

I'm not really making anything on this unit, so this is a great chance to get a working system or some spare parts if yours isn't working properly.

Regarding the pricing on other mods, I mentioned in another thread, but I can go with:

$30 Recapping (which is already done on this unit)

$110 for the LCD + $30 for the install. Another $25 to do the VGA port installation, since it is more labor intensive.

$12 for a new 5V power regulator.

So if I were to put the McWill LCD in this one, the base cost would be about $190. I'd have to order them from overseas of course.
