Looks like impossible to move around in there, overpacked.

darkening the room might help the warehouse look

 

doesn't look like the place was open during shoot so hopefully atmosphere music would be present during operation hours

 

girls don't need big hair .... but certainly need some there for atmosphere

If the place is expanded, you can bet it would be as packed with games just as it is now.

You can't hear ANY music in that place! The games drown it out! And really I need to hear the games not the music piped into the building!

 

Girls do come and play games.

 

It's packed yes, but I'm able to move around without issue.

It is cramped. It was listed by Guinness as the largest arcade in the world this last summer. That having been said, it's worth every penny to go there. Sometimes he has big events like the NARC Arcade Developer's Night this last weekend where I got to hang with Eugene Jarvis.

Well that's good that the proprietor is into things like so. Much better than some of these places that stuff a buncha machines (or mame cabs) into a building and call it a day.

 

Hopefully sometime I'll get the time to go down there. Or maybe wait till they get I Robot and StarJacker in their expansion..?

He really does take care of the machines. He's also a collector. Just recently he restored his Pengo cab. Like Galloping Ghost on Facebook.

 

Another great thing is that he's so well respected in the local arcade community that some of the developers pop in from time to time. The creator of Q*bert is there on average 3 times a week, and the creator of Rampage comes in from time to time.

 

In.. Episode 15, we had a great interview with Doc. Give it a listen. Fascinating guy.

That guy has a Galloping Ghost podcast up on iTunes. I think he mentioned in a recent episode that one of the desired outcomes of the expansion is a less-cramped experience.

 

I was there a year ago, spent about 6-7 hours playing games.

When I was there this past Saturday it was so crowded that I literally couldn't get to the part of the arcade that has Terminator 2 and Revolution X. No big loss, though; I hate those games.

I love the arcade, but was a bit disappointed in their pinball selections. Like most things there, I'd imagine it will improve with time. Do they have that twin screen Darius cabinet working yet? My brother saw that being built and damn near freaked out.

That's the only place I know of that has the Speed Racer game, along with the US's only SegaSonic the Hedgehog.

There's a LOT of "only" at GGA -- The Grid (I think that's the only place that has it), Two Tigers, the prototype version of Trog, Beavis and Butt-Head, the unreleased (and sometimes buggy) level of Narc, Primal Rage 2, Argus...

Ahh...good call....truth be told, I was going by aurcade.com. (Doc Mack actually had to put an entry in for Two Tigers because it wasn't there when he unveiled it receently.)

Aurcade is only good if they keep up with it (which can be a daunting task). I posted a walk through video on their forums for Timeline Arcade's York location several months ago and that location is still not in the database. Also, they still have The Place arcade listed when it closed earlier this year.

 

As far as Two Tigers goes, my friends and I would play that at our local convenience store BITD. A fun game and I got a chance to play it when I was at Pinball PA a couple of weeks ago. The game is much easier for two players that's for sure.
