+Schmitzi
yep, same for me great Now I let this new version run over a copy of my <full> path, for the first time. Less than an hour or so, for indexing ~100K DSKs. Very good. :LIKE: Does the software affect my original files in any way (write), or is it "just" reading data from my harddisk ? Is there a possibility to adjust the implemented Classic99er-path ? (I cannot change my Classic99-installation due to other installations) xXx
kl99
I am glad, you guys like the tool. It's only reading files from the path you give Web99 for indexing. There is never a write attempt. @Ralf: if you click on Search and click directly on "Content", you should get a statistic overview of how many Disks, File Records, Ti Files,... are in your index. I would be curious on your statistic after you checked for another 100k disks? Be sure to execute the Find Duplicates, otherwise the result could be confusing. I changed the path to "C:\Classic99\DSK1\" for this fixed version, I can't finish the flexible path version today, but hopefully tomorrow. It was wrongly set to "D:\ti99\Classic99\DSK1\" on the christmas release. So one of them should work for you Ralf. Web 99 - 2015-12-26 Beta 3: Web99_2015-12-26_v0.5_beta_3.zip This version is not containing the index, for this simply move over the "index" subfolder from the christmas edition to this one. +Schmitzi
No, I did not "search for duplicates", as I am anxious for my data (though it´s backup only What will happen to duplicates ? is there any "write" on my DSK-folders/main path ? - My path for Classic99 is "D:\Programme\classic99", but really no urgent need for a change. - Thanks
kl99
not a single write, the find duplicates function is not even reading your original pc paths/files any longer. it's all happening in the index folder. the find duplicates finds and eliminates only duplicates within the index. the index contains all the information it needs (including binaries, hashes,...) for doing those checks. no worries Ralf
+Schmitzi
OK, redone it 45 minutes for checking my TI99-path (190 GB´s) : 45 min for indexing it: Just some seconds to find dups: Matches: Some numbers: (208.000 clones??) And maybe a wish: Is it possible to make a "->right-click ->Open Folder in Explorer" here ? (may be good if looking on a program, to open the folder to have the manuals a.s.o. Omega-TI
I finally downloaded it when others were not, it sure sped things up! I'll try to find sometime Thursday to try this program... I want to clean up my HD a little first, because I have like four different versions of Classic 99 on there and a bunch of other obsolete stuff. Quite frankly my TI stuff on the HD resembles the junk drawer in my shop.... a total mess!
kl99
A new release of Web99, which fixes some issues, mainly - you can now define on your own the path for the Classic99 Export - wildcard issue on the FileName Field which is in the Christmas Edition. The index is compatible/identical to the one from the Christmas Edition. So please download the data from there, or move the directory "index" over.
