ClassicGMR
OK so I am going to use the 2600 RESET switch as a momentary contact switch. Question is what 2 posts do I want to solder the wire through? If the switch is resting in the UP position: Do I solder through 5 and 6? Is this the only connection where contact will be made when I push it down or are there more contact points? Can I safely ignore the other 4 posts or should I use any of them for any reason? Just making sure I am using the correct posts so I don't fry anything. I have not disassembled a switch and the pictures I can find are not making this any clearer to me. zylon
3 to 5 and 4 to 6 make contact when switch pressed down. Only need one side of switch, depending on application. These switches contact vertically instead of horizontal. You can actually use it for 2 functions.
ClassicGMR
Thank you Zylon. I would have soldered the switch wrong and gotten no results out of it. Appreciate you pointing me in the right direction.
