Dear all,

a new Firmware for my FlashCard is available.

Most important improvements:

- auto-size mode for *.lnx-files

- modify up to 128Bytes at once for 93Cx6 chip
- code optimation (e.g. Flash erase routine)
- Support of 93C66 and 93C86* for all functions with USB (93C66 and 93C86* was requested from some developers - *93C86 only for Board 6)
- only Board 1 with PCB 1.3d4: bank mode available - 2 independet banks with 512KB (possible to switch back to fast-erase mode as before)

I forgot 1 issue: there is a Easteregg included into the new Firmware. :-D

Yesterday I successfully flashed a board PCB 1.276 to 1.40. Went very smoothly.

Didn't find the easter egg yet. Did I miss it in the instructions, or is it undocumented and waiting to be found?

Waiting to be found. Maybe you have to dig for it.

Aaahhh, cruel that is ;)

Unlucky on finding the easter egg yet. But did succeed on flashing a board 6 (1.913 with 93C86). The instructions in the manual are great. I posted additional instructions at my blog at https://atarilynxdeveloper.wordpress.com/2016/01/16/upgrading-lynxmans-atari-lynx-flashcard/

to help with some pictures. It is how I interpreted and used your instructions, Lynxman. Hope it helps.

I will continue with the other Flashcards and search for the easter egg some more.

Thanks LX for your detailed instruction how to update the Firmware!

You're welcome. Thanks for making the cartridge.

I've made some improvements and will add links to the terminal software later.

BTW, checked the firmware file in a binary editor. Nothing yet. ;) Still looking.

Managed to successfully flash a C66 and C86 with the 6.40 firmware. Worked like a charm.

Will flashing the anniversary cart erase the demo? Or is that in the boot loader or other Rom?

The demo at the anniversary carts is stored in a separate chip. (28C64x)

Please note: the anni-carts are board 1 FlashCards which need the 1.40 Firmware.
