gauauu
Simple question: How much (if any) of the left and right edges of the screen should be reserved as "unimportant", due to being possibly covered by the edges of old TVs? I've been using a single playfield pixel on the left and right for walls, but then started to wonder if I'd run into problems on older TVs, and should use 2 instead? It looks like Combat just used 1, but Adventure used 2. Is there standard advice for this? (If this has been hashed out here a thousand times, I apologize, I searched but didn't find anything)
Thomas Jentzsch
There is a border left and right from the screen, so you do not have to worry about pixels missing on real TVs.
maiki
But I would be worried about scanlines. There is at least one game - the Supercharger conversion of Planet Patrol, that is way off the screen at the bottom.
gauauu
Awesome. Good to know that I won't have to rework anything. Thanks!
