walter_J64bit
I know that Controllers were made for the 7800 but can the 8-bit take advantage of the 2 buttion Controllers for new games or an old game hacked to use the 2 buttions?
+Sauron
I'm pretty sure that the 8bits can only use one fire button on those controllers.
Gunstar
The 7800 controller will work with the 2600 and any or the 8-bit Atari computers and both buttons will work the SAME-that means they will both work, but not independently. Kind of like 8-bit track-ball controllers with the two buttons that work as one. They will NOT work on any of the ST line, unless modified, they are not mapped like the mouse buttons. They will also work on any Commodore products, 8 or 16-bit, the same as a standard joystick, both buttons working as one. It may be possible to program a game from scratch to take adbvantage of both buttons as seperate buttons, but that's it.
video game addict
There is a FAQ out to convert the 7800 controller for use with Spy Hunter, to use the second button, but in it's current state the Proline will only act as a single button controller.
